Ron privacy policy.

What Ron collects, why, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Last updated August 5, 2026

This policy covers the Ron mobile application, published by KF Digital Studio LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. Our website is covered by our general privacy policy.

Our approach

Ron works by holding context about your household — who is in it, what needs doing, and what is coming up. That is inherently personal information, so we hold two lines: we collect the minimum needed to make Ron work, and we tell you plainly where it goes. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your household data to target advertising.

Information Ron collects

Account information

  • Your email address and authentication identifiers.
  • If you sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides — and the relay email address, if you choose to hide your real one.

Household information

  • Names or nicknames of household members, and their role (for example, parent or child).
  • Chores, tasks, assignments, and completion history.
  • Schedule items, reminders, and recurring routines.
  • Notes and preferences you give Ron so it can act on your behalf.

Your conversations with Ron

What you ask Ron and what Ron does in response, so that it can maintain context and follow through on standing instructions.

Technical and diagnostic information

  • Device model, operating system version, and app version.
  • Crash reports and error diagnostics, used to fix problems.
  • Basic usage signals about which features are used, so we know what to improve.

How Ron uses this information

  • To provide the assistant — reasoning over your household context and acting on it.
  • To send the reminders and notifications you have asked for.
  • To keep your data in sync across the household.
  • To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve the product.
  • To provide support when you contact us.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.

AI processing

Ron uses large language models to understand what you ask and decide what to do. To answer a request, relevant parts of your household context may be sent to the model provider that powers that capability.

Where we use third-party model providers, we use their business or enterprise offerings under terms that prohibit using your content to train their models. We send the context needed to answer the request and no more.

Children’s privacy and Kids Mode

Ron is designed for adults who manage a household. It is not directed to children as a general audience app, and children are not able to create their own Ron accounts.

Kids Mode is an optional feature that a parent or guardian can enable to give a child a restricted view of their own chores and schedule. It is off unless a parent turns it on.

Parental consent

A parent or guardian enables Kids Mode and sets a four-digit PIN. Taking that step is how a parent consents to Ron storing and displaying the limited information needed to manage that child’s chores and schedule. No child information is collected through Kids Mode before a parent has done this.

What we collect about children

Only what a parent enters or what the child generates in the course of using their restricted view:

  • A first name or nickname the parent supplies.
  • Chores and schedule items assigned to that child.
  • Completion status and history for those items.

We do not ask children for contact details, we do not require a child to disclose more than is reasonably necessary to use Kids Mode, and we do not condition participation on providing extra information.

What we do not do

  • We do not serve advertising to children.
  • We do not use children’s information for marketing or profiling.
  • We do not sell or disclose children’s information to third parties for their own purposes.

Parental controls

A parent or guardian can, at any time: review the information held about their child; correct or delete it from within the app; disable Kids Mode; or delete the entire account, which removes the child’s information with it. To make a request directly, email privacy@kfdigital.studio from the address on the account.

Practical guidance for parents is in the parents’ guide.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run Ron — cloud hosting and storage, AI model providers, crash and diagnostics reporting, and email delivery. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where legally required, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users. If our business is ever transferred, we will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

Payments for App Store purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Retention

We keep your household information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your household data — see deleting your account for exactly what is removed and the narrow categories that are retained for legal reasons.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA apply, you also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.

Email privacy@kfdigital.studio and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to those who need it. The Kids Mode PIN is stored securely on the device. To report a vulnerability, see our security policy.

Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
